At Glovida Pharmacy, we are dedicated to simplifying your healthcare experience, ensuring ease and confidence in every step of your journey with us.

General

What is Glovida Pharmacy and how does it work?

Glovida Pharmacy is a licensed retail pharmacy in Singapore. You can shop online at glovida.com or visit our pharmacy at 217 Henderson Road, #01-02, Singapore 159555.

Over-the-counter medicines, supplements and health products can be bought straight from our online store. For pharmacy and prescription medicines, you log in, verify your identity with Singpass or by entering your details manually, then either upload a valid prescription or consult our pharmacist or a partner doctor. Our pharmacists review every order before your medicines are delivered or prepared for pickup.

See How It Works for a step-by-step guide.

Is Glovida Pharmacy a licensed pharmacy?

Yes. Glovida Pharmacy is a licensed retail pharmacy assessed by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) to have a good track record in handling therapeutic products and in complying with the regulatory requirements to operate as an e-pharmacy. Glovida Pharmacy is operated by GWG Pte. Ltd. (registration number 201706289R).

What are the benefits of an online pharmacy like Glovida Pharmacy?

You can consult our pharmacists or a partner doctor without visiting a clinic, receive medication counselling remotely, and have your medicines delivered to your door, in as little as 90 minutes with Super Express Delivery. If you prefer, you can collect your order for free from our pharmacy at Henderson Road.

What are the benefits of having my prescriptions filled by Glovida Pharmacy?

We aim to keep medicines affordable and accessible, especially for people on long-term (chronic) medication, through careful management of our inventory and overheads.

You see the price of each medicine before you pay, so you can decide whether the cost works for you.

Our pharmacists also provide medication counselling after your consultation, so you understand the medicines prescribed and have access to reliable, professional advice.

Are the medicines supplied by Glovida Pharmacy safe and reliable?

Yes. We make sure the right therapeutic products of the appropriate quality (genuine and HSA-registered) are supplied to the correct patients, as prescribed by their doctors. All medicines are sourced from Singapore.

Our medicines are stored in air-conditioned facilities 24 hours a day to protect their quality. Products that need refrigeration are delivered by cold-chain courier.

How does Glovida Pharmacy keep medicine prices affordable?

We operate mainly online, which keeps our overheads such as rental and staffing costs low, and we buy in bulk to bring down our average cost. This lets us pass the savings on to you.

What are your operating hours?

Our pharmacy at 217 Henderson Road, #01-02 is open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Deliveries run Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Our online store is open 24/7, and orders placed outside operating hours are processed on the next working day.

How extensive is Glovida Pharmacy's range?

We carry over 200 prescription and pharmacy medicines, plus a wide range of over-the-counter medicines, supplements and health products. Prescription medicines are not listed on our website, so please WhatsApp our pharmacist at +65 8101 5555 to check availability. As we have ready access to most medicines in Singapore, we will do our best to get what you need.

Does Glovida Pharmacy carry as many brands as polyclinics or GP clinics?

Our range is curated to cover most medical conditions commonly seen in retail settings. What sets us apart is that we can source specific medicines or brands to suit your needs, rather than offering only what is on the shelf.

What if I need a specific brand of medicine that you don't carry?

Our pharmacists can recommend alternative brands of the same medicine. If you prefer a particular brand, we can also order it in for you: pre-order with our pharmacist on WhatsApp at +65 8101 5555 and make an advance payment. Pre-orders can take 1 to 2 weeks, so please contact us early if you need a refill.

How accurate is an online consultation without a physical examination?

Some conditions cannot be assessed remotely, and not all medicines are eligible for teleconsultation. Emergencies such as chest pain, deep or bleeding wounds, severe shortness of breath, seizures, severe pain, sudden weakness, numbness or slurred speech, or a suspected fracture need in-person care. In these cases our pharmacists or partner doctors will advise you to go to the nearest clinic or A&E. In a life-threatening emergency, call 995.

Can I buy medicine for someone else, such as a family member?

Yes. You can order medicine for your children, spouse, elderly parents or other family members using your own Glovida account, as long as any required prescription is issued in the patient's name.

  • Upload a valid prescription that matches the patient's name.
  • Let us know if the delivery address or contact number is different from yours.
  • Our pharmacists may contact you or the patient for medication counselling, especially for children and elderly patients. For some medicines, such as controlled drugs, we may need to speak with the patient directly.

Read more in Can I order medication for my family members?

As a foreigner, are there any restrictions on ordering medicine from Glovida Pharmacy?

You can order from us as a foreigner. When you verify your identity as a foreigner, the prescription step connects you with our pharmacist instead of a partner doctor. Please check with our pharmacist on WhatsApp at +65 8101 5555 whether the medicine you need requires a prescription from a doctor.

How can I check my previous orders?

Log in to your Glovida account to see your order history. You can also give our pharmacists your full name or phone number on WhatsApp at +65 8101 5555, and they will look up your past purchases.

Are there any age restrictions for buying medicines online?

Different medicines have different age restrictions. Please check with our pharmacists before ordering.

Can I order medicines for my pets?

No. Glovida Pharmacy does not provide veterinary medication services.

How does Glovida Pharmacy handle controlled substances or medicines with potential for abuse?

Every pharmacy and prescription order goes through identity verification and a health check, and our pharmacists review each customer's medication history to prevent misuse. Controlled drugs may need stricter prescriptions, and we may need to speak with the patient directly before dispensing.

How do I know if a medicine is an Over-The-Counter (OTC), Pharmacy Only or Prescription Only Medicine?

Over-The-Counter (OTC) Medicines: you do not need a doctor or pharmacist to buy these. They can be used safely without medical supervision for short-term self-treatment. Examples include paracetamol for low-grade fever or mild pain, activated charcoal for diarrhoea, and lozenges for sore throats.

Pharmacy Only Medicines: you can buy these without a doctor's prescription, but you need to consult our pharmacist first to make sure you get the right medicine for your condition. Examples include some antihistamines, mild steroid creams, and cough, cold and pain medicines.

Prescription Only Medicines: you can buy these only with a prescription from a registered doctor. Examples include antibiotics and medicines for chronic conditions, such as blood pressure and diabetes medicines.

Not sure which type you need? WhatsApp our pharmacists at +65 8101 5555.

As required by Singapore regulations, we will then arrange to collect the original paper prescription, and deliver your medicine once it has been received and verified. See What Makes a Valid Prescription in Singapore.

For Pharmacy Refill orders, we email you an invoice with payment instructions, followed by a receipt once you have paid.

How many months of chronic medication can I get from you?

Depending on your condition and diagnosis, doctors usually prescribe enough medicine to last until your next appointment. For stable chronic conditions, supply is normally given for no more than six months.

Do you carry psychiatric medication?

We do not carry psychiatric medications at the moment.

Do you carry oral contraceptives or medicines for sensitive conditions?

Yes. Please WhatsApp our pharmacists at +65 8101 5555 to find out more.

We encourage you to follow up with your specialist so your condition can be monitored closely. For refills of medicines for stable chronic conditions, you can book a teleconsultation with one of our partner doctors, who will assess your condition before prescribing the medicines needed.

Does Glovida Pharmacy offer automatic refills for chronic medication?

No, we do not offer automatic refills. For a repeat supply, place a new order through our Pharmacy Refill page.
