Semaglutide works as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity for weight management, including weight loss and weight maintenance in patients who are obese or overweight with weight-related medical problems.

DIRECTIONS:

One pre-filled pen contains 1 mg (four doses) of Semaglutide in 1.5 mL solution.

Semaglutide should be injected into the fat layer of the skin on your upper arms, thigh, or tummy (abdomen). It is not to be injected into the veins or into the muscles. Inject the dose told by your doctor, nurse or pharmacist.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE?

This medication may cause the following side effects:

  • Nausea
  • Diarrhoea
  • Decreased appetite
  • Vomiting

Another common side effect is low blood sugar, especially if Semaglutide is used together with other diabetes medicines like sulfonylureas (e.g. Glipizide, Gliclazide).

Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
