Item Description

Maltofer contains Iron(III)-hydroxide polymaltose complex 357mg equivalent to 100mg of elemental iron per tablet. Iron is an important constituent of haemoglobin, myoglobin, and iron-containing enzymes.

In general, iron deficiency can cause lack of energy, pale skin, fast or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, brittle/ grooved nails, cold hand sand feet.

Maltofer  has less constipation and less gastrointestinal side effects compared to ferrous sulfate iron.

Contents

Each film-coated tablet contains:
- 100 mg iron as iron(III)-hydroxide polymaltose complex

The other ingredients are:
- crospovidone
- hydroxypropyl cellulose
- hydroxypropyl methylcellulose
- iron oxide red (E172)
- iron oxide yellow (E172)
- macrogol 6000
- magnesium stearate
- microcrystalline cellulose
- titanium dioxide (E171)

Directions

Always take this medicine as your doctor or pharmacist has instructed. Take this medicine with food and swallow whole with water.
