It contains the expectorant Guaiphenesin, which increases the flow of natural secretions along the lower respiratory tract. This liquefying effect helps break up a cough - helps loosen a cough so you can break it up and get it off your chest.

Each 10ml of Syrup Contains: Guaiphenesin 200mg.
Also contains:
Ethanol (alcohol) 40mg/ml (4.8%)
Sodium Benzoate and Sodium Saccharin

This product contains Sorbitol (5.42mg/10ml) which may have a laxative effect or cause diarrhea in some people. This is more likely if several products containing sorbitol or related substances are consumed simultaneously.
Sugar-free.

Directions 

Take every 4 hours when necessary;
Adults & children over 12 years: 10ml - 20ml
Children 6-12 years: 5ml - 10ml
Children 2-6 years: 2.5ml - 5ml

Do not take more 6 doses in 24 hours.
Do not use in children under 2 years of age. For children 2 - 6 years, consult a medical professional.
