Directions
1. Preparation: Clean the wound: Use a sterile solution like normal saline to cleanse the wound and surrounding area. Dry the area: Gently pat the area dry with sterile gauze. Choose the right size: Select a Bactigras dressing that is slightly larger than the wound.
2. Application: Open the packaging: Carefully open the Bactigras packaging, ensuring the dressing remains sterile. Apply the dressing: Place a single layer of Bactigras directly onto the wound bed. Ensure it makes good contact with the wound. Cover the wound: Apply a secondary dressing, such as an absorbent pad, over the Bactigras. Secure the dressing: Use tape or a bandage to hold the dressing in place.
3. Removal: Consider adhesive remover: If using tape or adhesive dressings, consider using an adhesive remover to minimize skin damage. Remove the secondary dressing: Carefully remove the absorbent pad or other secondary dressing. Gently remove Bactigras: Lift the edge of the Bactigras and gently remove it from the wound. Soak if necessary: If the dressing sticks, soak it off with normal saline.
